| Bianca has a primer for those of you that aren't familiar with Sex In The City... believe it or not, that includes CJ! (WireImage) |
This is a special non-wrestling related column I'm writing. With the upcoming season of Sex And The City only a few short weeks away, I got inspired, so I'm dedicating my column to the fab four babes of Sex & The City and why you should pick up your remotes and watch. So I'm going to give you the fabulous 411 info on this hot show and the even hotter ladies:
Carrie
Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica
Parker): the brash and bold sexual columnist with a taste for Cosmo's
and cigs, but lousy taste in men and a weakness for a sexy powerful New York
businessman known as "Mr. Big". This lady has loved and lost in the
crazy game of relationships. Yet she does it with vintage style, sexy pricey
shoes and a taste for superb designer bags and is a modern day role model for us
indecisive, drama-loving, bad men attracting' super women. (http://www.hbo.com/city/cmp/carrie_and_company.html)
Samantha
Jones (Kim Cattrall):
The hot and sexy PR chick with a taste for men and anything/everything sexual
but seem to miss the boat on serious relationships. Sam's a woman who loves her
drinks, and glam haute couture designer fare that gives her a outlet to be the
center of attention. She's definitely a friend you want, whether for shopping or
bedroom advice. This is one chick who knows what she wants and how to get it. If
more women had her drive and style, we would rule the world. Some women have a
goodie drawer, she has a GOODIE CLOSET! (http://www.hbo.com/city/cmp/samantha.html)
Miranda
Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon):
We all have that one friend. The cynical one. Miranda is the serious lawyer with
a few dysfunctional kicks in the relationship department, recently breaking up
with child-at-heart bartender Steve. In the boardroom, she has that stylish
strong yet feminine power suit look. She can kick your ass but still look good
doing it. On the off time she's more sporty and at night, she can be just as
sexy and smoking in the newest designer outfit, complemented by that short fiery
red hair. (http://www.hbo.com/city/cmp/samantha.html)
Charlotte
York (Kristin Davis):
Who says you cant see the world from rose-colored Prada glasses? That's
Charlotte for ya. While most modern women are more man-hungry and independent,
this ladylike Art Dealer stuck to the old school mentality regarding romance and
finding Prince Charming, which she did in Trey, her new husband. Finding her
dream man: old school money, doctor, prestigue and privilge in New York society,
everything seems perfect BUT seems like Trey can't exactly salute the flag for
his mrs. if you know what I mean. Still Charlotte keeps her cool and works on
her marriage and she does it in feminine flirty style and grace with her
designer duds and massive taste for shoes. (http://www.hbo.com/city/cmp/charlotte.html)
The Men:
Mr.
Big (Chris Noth):
Every woman has their weakness... the ex that never seems to go away but the
passion and intensity is just THERE. That's Big, the tall, dark and handsome
powerful NYC businessman who's attraction to the flighty sex columnist has been
a topsy-turvy up and down roller coaster. They would be perfect YET his
emotional unavailability is the constant downfall of this passionate pair. Will
they reconcile for the next season or can Carrie FINALLY break the cycle?
Aidan
(John Corbett):
probably the most wonderful, handsome and STABLE of Carrie's boyfriends, the
furniture designer swept the normally reckless chickie off her feet. They were
going great until she indulged the whims of Big and had a 3 week affair. Overwhelmed
with guilt, Carrie confessed her sins and the heartbroken Aiden broke up with
her. Will he forgive & come back?? If he does, will Carrie learn her lesson
and cherish her relationship for all it's worth??
Trey
(Kyle McLachlan):
Charlotte's "almost perfect" prince charming with a penchant for chronic
masturbation and not putting the screws to his wife has been a source for
marital tension between the perfect on paper High Society couple. Even Charlotte
had to take "matters into her own hands" sort to speak by putting on
her own one-woman show just to get Trey's boat out of the harbor. Will these two
finally get their marital lovin' goin' without a three-minute sinking of the
ship??
Steve (David Eigenberg): The 12-year-old-at-heart bartender swept the normally mature & cynical at love Miranda off her Gucci-sporting toes. While their problems, which included their different incomes and clashing style personalities, have been difficult at best, they were able to overcome them and even moved in together for awhile. Yet her being the perpetual mommy figure to Steve's little kid broke down the relationship and he moved out. Is Steve what Miranda needs and a reconciliation is in the cards??

Drinks (Credit: hbo.com/city): If you
want to be stylish, you've got to have the drinks for a great party or night on
the town. Remember 'yall, you should be at least 21 to make or order these yummy
yummy cocktails BUT for you under 21 yet you can substitute the alcohol for
fruit drinks or cider:
THE CLASSIC COSMOPOLITAN
What you'll need:
1 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1 tbsp lime juice
Splash of Cranberry juice
1 cup ice cubes
Cocktail shaker
Chilled Martini glass
A steady hand
Combine all ingredients in the cocktail shaker. Shake
gently and with that steady hand, pour carefully and strain into a Martini
glass. Fill it right up to the rim. For extra flair, float a curl of lime peel
in the center of your drink. Drink slowly. Steve the Bartender recommends you
drink these in moderation. They taste really good but Steve's had to pick too
many unsuspecting neophytes up off the floor. **Columnist Note: you can say that
again ; ) **
Muddle four raspberries in the bottom of a martini glass.
Shake the first five ingredients vigorously, strain into glass. Top off with
Roederer Brut Champagne. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Color should be a golden
yellow.
In a large pitcher, mix all of the above ingredients. Add the juice of one small lemon and stir or shake well. If you have a blender available you can blend on the lowest setting for about 3 seconds. Pour into well-chilled martini glasses and garnish with a freshly cut paper-thin lemon wheel.
THE STANHOPE BIG APPLE
BELLINI
2 1/2 ounces of champagne (the better the bubbly, the better the drink)
1/2 ounce sweet peach nectar
Pour both ingredients into a chilled champagne flute and serve with a garnish of fresh strawberry.
THE COMMUNE-APOLITAN
4 ounces Stolichnaya Razberi vodka
1 ounce fresh lime juice
